Four “kid approved” Products to Teach the Alphabet

February 3, 2022

With the unbelievable amount of products out there to teach the alphabet, where do you even start? Well today’s post is meant to help you with just that! We have used these products in our house and all of them were well played with and helped teach my kids the alphabet. Hopefully you will find something that works for you! Just click the title or the image to see more!

Four products to help teach the alphabet

Melissa and Doug Alphabet Puzzle

Up first is the Melissa & Doug Alphabet Express Jumbo Jigsaw Floor Puzzle. My kids played with this for over two years to the point the edges were fraying. Just be aware it’s almost 10 feet long! If your kids like puzzles at all, this is a must get!

Alpha Tales Books

Second on the list are the AlphaTales Box Set: A Set of 26 Irresistible Animal Storybooks That Build Phonemic Awareness & Teach Each letter of the Alphabet. Each book in this set is approximately 16 pages and tell short animal stories. My kids laugh at every one we read. The price is a little steep, but you may luck up and find some at a used or discount book store.

Next is the The Learning Journey: Match It! Memory – Alphabet – Capital and Lowercase Letter Matching Game. This took a little explaining and some practice rounds, but once my kids got it, they got it! This was really helpful in teaching capital and lower case letters. If you’re kids like the game “memory” at all, they should definitely like this!

Melissa and Doug Alphabet

And last up is the Melissa & Doug See-Inside Alphabet Wooden Peg Puzzle. This is the first product I bought and used to help teach the alphabet after teaching the ABC song. I know so many other children that have a like this puzzle too, so it’s definitely a winner!
